Founded by Colin Kaepernick and Nessa in 2015, Know Your Rights Camp (KYRC) emerged as a response to ongoing concerns about police violence against Black and Brown populations. Through its commitment to providing legal, cultural, and community resources, KYRC strives to empower youth in their efforts to combat systemic injustice and racial discrimination. The overarching mission focuses on enhancing the liberation and well-being of marginalized communities through education, collective action, and the cultivation of emergent leaders dedicated to creating equitable systems.
